Got a really good deal on this car because the Mazda dealer was having a hard time selling them when I bought it. I've had somer problems with the transfer case leaking and being noisy and am currently on my second set of tires. Other than the transfer case leakage, I love the car!

Got a heck of a good deal on this car as it wouldn't start when I bought it. It needed a new crankshaft position sensor as well as belts and hoses and other general attention. I went ahead and replaced the timing belt (which was 30 to 40K miles old) and the crank and cam front oil seals. I've almost got all of it down to a science.

One heck of a lot of fun to drive at highway speeds or on windy back roads. That's right, an American sedan that can handle.... I had this car until Easter of 2004 when someone was good enough to plow into it in the Walmart parking lot resulting in it being totalled. :-( Pictures here.

This car had a lot of promise but it was ultimately my unhappiness with it that caused me to trade it in on the Mazdaspeed 6. It's relatively quick and handles fairly well but the turning radius leaves a lot to be desired and is exacerbated by the lack of a synchronized reverse gear.
